Ghost Bees, Mike Daly & Fall Horsie

Wednesday, October 17th, 2007

This October, we're really "bringing it" for you kids. This week's first show brings back our friends the Ghost Bees of Halifax. Every time they play, a couple more friends are caught in their spell and spend the following couple of weeks wandering around starry-eyed. But we're having them back anyway. Touring with them is Halifax's Fall Horsie, whose heartfelt folk is certain to win you over. And we're finally managed to get K-W local Mike Daly here, to steal portions of your being with his gravelly musings.
  • Ghost Bees - Halifax - meandering dream-like harmonies
  • Mike Daly - K-W - poetry telling you how it is
  • Fall Horsie - Halifax - calmly and subtlely healing

Torngat & The Magic

Friday, October 19th, 2007

For the second show of the week, we're extrordinarily pleased to be welcoming Montreal's Torngat, and Guelph's The Magic. Torngat is one of the most exciting bands around these days, and includes Pietro Amato, who was last here with The Luyas. The Magic is an exciting new band from Guelph, featuring Geordie Gordon of The Barmitzvah Brothers, and the Salt Lick Kids, and Evan Gordon, of the Sad Clowns. This show is pretty unprecedented!
  • Torngat - exploratory french horn/wurlitzer post
  • The Magic - Guelph - retro-pop sensations
